MOVE ON!

How to Move on from Someone Who Doesn't Like You

You've loved someone for quite sometime now, only to be rejected. Rather they said it or not, it still hurts. You're tired of being rejected and you love this person so much, you don't see how you could ever move on. Read on to find how!

Steps

  1. 1
Cry, and cry a lot. Crying will get out all of your emotions instead of keeping them bottled up inside. Research shows that crying is a stress reliever and it actually makes you healthier. Although you probably won't feel better right away after crying, you will still get all of your emotions out on the table. Think about it. Let's say you're filling water up in a bathtub and your phone rings. You figure "it's taking forever to fill up, I'll just go talk to so and so for a moment and come right back." You talk on the phone for 10 minutes, forgetting all about the water you left running in the bathroom. By the time you're done on the phone and you enter the restroom, water has seeped everywhere and onto the floor. You run to turn it off, but by that time it's too late. That's what it is like if you don't cry. You will eventually explode and overflow with emotions. The best thing to do is get it all out. Don't be afraid of crying. If you feel more comfortable doing it in private, ask to be excused for a moment to use the restroom or go to your room. Find a good place for crying. Depending on how emotionally attached you were to this person, you'll probably be going to this special place specifically for crying a lot.
  2. 2
Think about all the bad things about the person you loved and the negative consequences of going out with them. You might think this person has no flaws and they're perfect, but that's not true at all. The old saying really is true; nobody's perfect. Even something as little as them chewing with their mouth open will work. Try to make a list of everything you disliked about them and their flaws. Maybe they were rude to your best friend or they have horrible friends. Whatever it is, write it down and when you start feeling those old feelings creeping back, read the list. Also, try to think about any negative feelings there may be for going out with him/her. Would it ruin your family friendship because your parents think that person is wrong for you? Would it affect your grades/schoolwork or friendships? Is that person mentally unstable for you? Does that person bring you down a lot? These are some things to consider. If you begin thinking that he wasn't right for you anyway, you will no longer care if it works out or not.
  3. 3
Get your mind off of him/her. Hanging out with friends, joining a club (ex: drama club, creative writing or book club, and online clubs) help a lot. Do anything to get your mind off of him/her. Write song lyrics or stories, do homework, hang out with friends at the mall, watching movies...all of these things work. Make sure that you're not thinking of him or her and there is absolutely no reason for you to encounter them or think about them. For example, if they work at the mall and your friends want to go there, don't go. Stay home and do something else. The whole point is to move on, and for most people who are in love, the moment they see their loved one again or the moment they start to communicate with them old feelings begin coming back. So make sure you won't be seeing them at all. Try to find a hobby you're interested in such as art, music, writing, books, dance, etc. You can also kill two birds with one stone by trying to get something good done while moving on, such as losing weight, studying or doing homework, practicing for a speech or playact, or earning money.
  4. 4
Get away from everything that reminds you of them until you're over them. This means not going to places that you had experiences with them at, putting away old pictures where you won't be tempted to get them out until however long it takes you to get over them, and maybe even deleting their contact off your phone or off your friend's list on Facebook. It might seem rude, but you need to understand that you HAVE to move on in life. For example, if you're stopped at a red light and all the sudden it goes green, everyone else is going forward with their lives and you're just stuck. You will eventually get struck or fined for staying in the middle of the road. You can move, but it takes effort (putting your foot to the gas.) Move on. You do not want to be the person stuck at the red light any longer. So if seeing them on your home page on Facebook or seeing them on your contact phone list will bring back sudden memories or you will be tempted to contact them, you need to delete them. Also, if you own anything of there's, it might be a good time now to give it back to them if it holds memories.
  5. 5
If you're ready, try to find someone new to love. You could meet this person in a bookstore or a coffee shop, online, or in the middle of the street. Never lose hope as to where you will find your one true love. It obviously didn't work out with you and the other person you once love(d), otherwise you wouldn't be here right now. If it didn't work out between you two, it wasn't meant to be. Everything happens for a reason in the great scheme of things. Know that better things are ahead for you, and be glad that your love story will be in the future and not in the past. Motivate yourself for the future and never give up on finding your true love, because he or she is out there somewhere.
  6. 6
Get in the mindset that it's good that it happened, but everything has to end sometime. Be happy of the memories you shared with this person. There were probably good lessons learned. Don't wish it never happened-just wish to move on. Sometimes, moving on can be happy, too. You just have to see the good that this experience has shown you.
  7. 7
Let go now of false hope. Somewhere in your mind, you're going to think "I can make them love me. Maybe they didn't mean that, they were just embarrassed. Maybe one day everything will work out." No. Let go of all of that. In order to move on, you need to know NOW that there is no hope for you guys. If he or she rejected you, they were probably being serious and keeping onto false hope is not going to help you whatsoever. Know that if they wanted you, they would come back to you. If they haven't already, you have to move on and let go of any false hope between the two of you. You can't make someone love you, and if you're thinking that, you might as well drop those thoughts. Everyone does it-you think it'll make you feel better. But in reality, it's really only making the situation worse because you're once again not moving on.

Windows 8 commercial song - Lenka : Everything At Once (Music Video)

Everything At Once by Lenka, Windows 8 commercial song. For those who are asking - there isn't a full official video (the dance sections were taken from a Lenka commercial that covered less than half the song), so i put together several videos to make one. Hope you guys like it! :)
LYRICS BELOW:

As sly as a fox, as strong as an ox
As fast as a hare, as brave as a bear
As free as a bird, as neat as a word
As quiet as a mouse, as big as a house

All I wanna be, all I wanna be, oh
All I wanna be is everything

As mean as a wolf, as sharp as a tooth
As deep as a bite, as dark as the night
As sweet as a song, as right as a wrong
As long as a road, as ugly as a toad

As pretty as a picture hanging from a fixture
Strong like a family, strong as I wanna be
Bright as day, as light as play
As hard as nails, as grand as a whale

All I wanna be oh, all I wanna be, oh
All I wanna be is everything
Everything at once
Everything at once, oh
Everything at once

As warm as the sun, as silly as fun
As cool as a tree, as scary as the sea
As hot as fire, cold as ice
Sweet as sugar and everything nice

As old as time, as straight as a line
As royal as a queen, as buzzed as a bee
Stealth as a tiger, smooth as a glider
Pure as a melody, pure as I wanna be

All I wanna be oh, all I wanna be, oh
All I wanna be is everything
Everything at once

Awkward Love, it's more hurt than a relationships

Hai Guys!

Just want to share something..

Today as usual, boring, nothing interesting ..

On Monday, I was obliged to get up early, then  ceremonies, and drowsiness come to me. Damn, after school there should be an additional lesson that we call local content. Oh, god.

Well, to the topic. I back to home from school and go back to school again for basketball.

And you know what, I saw him! yes, once agaaaain I SAW HIM!!!!!!!!!

I've been waited for him such for a long time, to train and teached us for play basketball. And I've been waited for talk or just saw his smile, actually :D <3

We kept playing, until the day the night. Finally, almost all of our friends go home. Except me and some of my friends, and he and his friends.

He ask us to play together, omg who want to refuse! then we choosed a team and I get him omg -_-

Ya, we just play until the day was really dark. Then I decided to go home, I smile to him but I think its just useless, he never know that I always smile to he, and he never knew that I keep some feelings for him, ok great!  :)

TASK 1

Ex-student cuts fees for poor at Oxford university

Hundreds of the UK's poorest bright teenagers are to be given scholarships to attend Oxford after the university was handed a £75 million donation by a former student.

The prestigious institution has been gifted the funds by businessman and former journalist Michael Moritz and his novelist wife Harriet Heyman.

The money is set to be used to kick off a new £300 million scholarship programme to support students from the lowest income families through their studies, Oxford has announced.
It comes as tuition fees in England are tripled to a maximum of £9,000 per year, and amid fears that concerns about debt could still put some disadvantaged students off going to top universities.
Students receiving the new Moritz-Heyman scholarships will have no upfront study or living costs, receive financial support during the holidays and take part in a tailor-made internship programme, Oxford said.

In total, the package will be worth around £11,000 per year, with fees pegged at £3,500, the current fee level before the hike is introduced this autumn.
Oxford said that the £75 million donation was the "biggest philanthropic gift for undergraduate financial support in European history".

At an event to unveil the programme in central London, Mr Moritz said the aim of the initiative was to ensure that "every headteacher throughout the UK understands that there is no obstacle whatsoever for any of their students, any pupil, who has the academic ability and talent to take a place at Oxford, to be able to gain admission to the university".

There is now "no financial barrier" between any student and an Oxford education, he added.
Around one in 10 Oxford undergraduates, about 1,000 in total, come from homes with annual incomes below £16,000, and within three years it is expected that half of these students could receive one of the new scholarships, Oxford said.

Around 100 students will be given an award this autumn, and eventually, all students in this group could be covered.

Mr Moritz, who was previously a correspondent for Time magazine and is now chairman of Sequoia Capital, said: "We hope that these scholarships touch a lot more than just the individual recipients and beneficiaries of the awards.

"Because as those students graduate, and go on to pursue whatever their passion in life becomes, we hope that their work will then touch many more people, as they pursue careers in science, or in business, or in the arts."

Mr Moritz graduated from Christ Church College, Oxford, in 1976 with a degree in history.
He said that the personal reason behind his donation was that he had attended an "ordinary comprehensive school" in Cardiff, and was the only pupil in his year to go to Oxford.

"I would not be here today were it not for the generosity of strangers," Mr Moritz said.

As a teenager, his father had been "plucked" from Nazi Germany and able to attend a good London school on a scholarship, before winning a further award to study at Oxford, he said.
Mr Moritz added that he also had a cousin who was taken from terrible circumstances and given help to complete his studies.

"I think it is all to easy not to remember those that can be so easily forgotten," he said.

TASK 2

UCL beats Oxford University in world college rankings

No longer top: Cambridge University is now second to Massachusetts Institute of Technology
Picture: Chris Radburn/PA Wire

One of London’s most famous universities was today named ahead of Oxford in a new world league table of the best higher education institutions.
University College London is rated fourth, one place above Oxford and only two behind Cambridge, in the annual QS World University Rankings list of the 700 most outstanding places for study and research.
In a further boost for the capital, another of its leading institutions, Imperial College, was placed sixth, making London the only city with two universities in the world top 10.
First place in the rankings, drawn up by leading academics and other experts, went to the Massachussetts Institute of Technology with another American university, Harvard, finishing third.
UCL’s Provost, Professor Malcolm Grant, said the findings represented an important vote of confidence in the quality of higher education in London.
“What is remarkable for London is to be the only city in the world to have two top 10 universities,” he said.  “Higher education, science, research, technology and health are all remarkable strengths of London, every bit as strong as financial services.
“I’m delighted with UCL’s showing — and with Imperial — but more importantly it provides a base-point for comparison with London’s major rivals as global cities, particularly New York.”
UCL’s fourth ranking is three places higher than last year, and reflects higher scores for its ability to attract leading international students and the number of times its research work is quoted in academic journals.
Other leading British universities in today’s table are Edinburgh, ranked 21st, London’s King’s College, which is 26th, and Bristol, in 28th position.
The London School of Economics, at 69, is London’s  only other university to appear in the top 100.
John O’Leary, editor of the Times Good University Guide, said: “This is a tremendous accolade for London.”
